Horsepower = (P × L × A × N) ÷ 33,000
P = cylinder pressure (mean effective pressure in psi)
L = length of the stroke in feet (stroke ÷ 12)
A = piston area in square inches (bore2 × 0.7854)
N = number of power strokes per minute [(RPM ÷ 2) x number of cylinders. 33,000 represents 1 horsepower
Horsepower = (MEP × stroke × bore2 × 0.7854 x number of cylinders) ÷ (12 × 2 × 33,000)”
Now it’s all plug and play!!
